Jessica began working as a lecturer at the CCP in 2009 after completing her Diploma in Photoimaging and Bachelor of Education at the University of South Australia in 2007. Currently Jess’ other commitments don’t permit her the time to teach, however we’re still very lucky to have her join us once each term to assist with co-assessing.

Predominantly a conceptual photographer, Jessica has a fascination for vintage eras and self portraiture and photographs mainly within these themes. Aiming to emulate the style of the 1920s, 30s, 40s and 50s through a variety of subjects, her photographs invite the viewer into the world of a bygone era.

She is an exhibiting fine art photographer, who continues to use the medium of black and white film with passion.

A range of both her artistic and commercial work can be viewed at her website https://www.jessicaeckermannphotography.com/
