It's been a huge week in UK politics, so we thought we would share some of the historic images photographed during one of the UK's biggest political movements, the suffragette movement, by the first female UK press photographer Christina Broom.

Christina began her photographic business in 1903 when her husband couldn't work due to a sporting injury. Christina took her love of photography and taught herself how to be a commercial photographer.
