Inspiration - Myriam Boulos
Magnum Nominee Myriam Boulos: “I don’t know how to deal with these obsessions in any other way but through photography”.
The artists work covers such a broad scope, from covering the Beirut revolution in 2019 to a devastating explosion at Beirut’s port, which killed 221 people in 2021 to her current project, with which Myriam is developing about women’s sexual fantasies. This ongoing work sees the photographer invite women to share their fantasies and then art-directing how exactly they want to present themselves to the camera.
These images almost seem like they couldn’t possibly make sense when put together. But when looking at them you can feel that they do, you can tell that they are all from the view point of the same person, it’s in the way they see and process their surroundings.
At the link below the artist discusses her work, her processes and how she developed her approach.
