ARTS IN HEALTH SALA RESIDENCY 2022 APPLICATIONS OPEN

Applications are now open for the 2022 SALA Artist in Residence program with Arts in Health at Flinders Medical Centre. Flinders Medical Centre (FMC) is the southern area's largest hospital and provides medical services for people living in the southern metropolitan area of Adelaide.

The Emergency Department is open 24 hours, seven days a week. Arts in Health at FMC is one of the largest hospital-based arts in health programs in Australia, known nationally and internationally for high quality and innovative programming. The successful artist will be invited to be in residence with Arts in Health for up to 3 months, culminating in an exhibition as part of the 2022 SALA festival in August 2022. A stipend of $2,000 will be provided as a contribution towards materials and expenses, as well as the opportunity to sell work at the SALA residency exhibition (a commission of 25% will go to FMC for work sold). During the residency, the artist will have access to selected allied health, medical and research throughout their time with FMC.

Arts in Health will also provide administrative support and access to their team of highly skilled art therapists and art facilitators to support the residency.
