About Cosmos Award

Cosmos Awards is the newest association focused in international photography and filmmaking competition. Some of the most prestigious and greatest judges from all over the world will judge and help the participants to hone their craft through their critiques.

PRIZE POOL

Total Prize Pool for Whole Competition Year 22/23 - €4,500 worth of prizes**

1x Grand of The Grand Award - €1,500 or equilavent value in prizes**

( Winners of the Grand Award will fight for this one and only Grand of the Grand )

5x Grand Awards - €500 each or equilavent value in prizes**

( Wedding, Pre Wedding, Creative, Portrait, Filmmaking )

1x Photographer of the Year Award - €500 or equilavent value in prizes

( Accumulated Highest Points per annum from one individual profile only )

ENTERING 

 There is no limit to the number of entries one can submit.

However, only a miximum of 15 points per annual calendar year will be calculated into the Honors of Cosmos ranking.

Images entered into online trimesters prior are allowed to be resubmited after they are amended based on the critiques given by the judges, with the exception of images which placed in top 5 placings in prior trimesters or finale. For example, a particular image placed before, amendments such as cropping or color conversion to monochrome and then resubmitted is not permitted.

 

 COMPETITION FORMAT

 Competition commences with the first, second and third trimester in online format, and top 5 placings from each category automatically qualify for the annual print finale in print format.

*This means that a maxiumum of 15 images will compete in each category in the print finale, those who didn't qualify can't pay to enter, as this maintains the highest standard in the finale.

The print finale event will be judged in print format only, no digital submission is allowed.
There will be 1st, 2nd and 3rd placings together with the grand and grand of the grand winners at the finale event.

 DIGITAL FILE SPECIFICATIONS FOR YOUR PRINT ENTRY

 

Format: files must be uploaded in final jpg

Size: At least 2000 pixels on the longest side ( max. file size limited to 4MB )

 

Resolution: 300 ppi

 

Color Mode: RGB color mode (even for black-and-white images)

 

Color Profile: sRGB (Untagged space for color profiles is also acceptable)

 

File Naming: No specification. Logos and watermark included in your submitted jpg file will be disqualified.
