Environmental Photographer of the Year 2022

Now in its 15th year, The Environmental Photographer of the Year competition showcases the most inspirational environmental photography from around the world. The award celebrates humanity’s ability to survive and innovate and showcases thought-provoking images that call attention to our impact and inspire us to live sustainably.

The competition is free to enter for all ages. Entries are open until 31 August and winners will be announced in November 2022.

Who may enter
The competition is open to all international photographers, both amateur and professional, and of all ages.

Short description
The contest is organized by The Chartered Institution of Water and Environmental Management (CIWEM) in partnership with WaterBear

Now in its 15th year, this annual competition will continue to spotlight the most inspirational environmental photography from across the globe and to provide an international platform to raise awareness for the environmental issues that put our planet at risk.

The award celebrates challenging, beautiful, and powerful images that encourage humanity to take care of our environment.

All photographs submitted must have been taken after 1 January 2021.

Each entrant may submit a maximum of three photos.
