Exhibition space at praxis ARTSPACE for SALA Festival 2023 (August 2023) & curatorial assistance from Patty Chehade (valued at $3,500)
Premium registration in SALA Festival 2023 (valued at $540)
Photographers/image-makers/artists using photography who exhibit photographic artwork in the 2022 SALA Festival are eligible to nominate for this opportunity. Individual artists and artists working together in a collaborative duo are eligible to apply.
It does not matter if your involvement in SALA Festival 2022 is small (eg. a single artwork in a group show).
Nominations for this opportunity will be accepted online via the SALA Online Portal between 1 March – 18 May 2022.
Applicants agree to the Terms & Conditions of nomination.
You can check out a preview of the nomination form. Or just be aware that you will need to upload 3-5 images of your work and provide a statement about your work and background as an artist, and how you hope to utilise this opportunity if you are successful.
Think of this opportunity as being in two parts.
In 2022, photographers who participate in SALA Festival nominate for the award.
In 2023, the successful applicant holds a solo exhibition of their (or their collaboration’s) photography work in SALA Festival 2023, supported by Atkins Lab, Centre for Creative Photography, Praxis Artspace, and SALA Festival.
The successful applicant will recieve:
Printing of their work at Atkins Lab & consulting with Paul Atkins (valued at $5,500)
