Student Food Photographer of the Year supported by the Royal Photographic Society
An open category for students (full or part-time) currently attending a photography course at a recognised college or university. Subject matter may be anything relating to food.
For the purposes of this competition, ’Student’ is defined as a student (full or part-time) currently attending a photography course at a recognised college or university.
The winner and two runners up of the Student Food Photographer of the Year category will receive an RPS Membership, worth £55. The winning student will have their work and an interview published in the award-winning RPS Journal.
In addition, the winner of the Student Food Photographer of the Year category will have the unique opportunity to have a 60 minute one-to-one Zoom meeting with Commercial Photography Consultant and Mentor, Zoe Whishaw. This will include:

Exposure
Every image entered will be appreciated by some of the leading figures in the photography and food industries during the judging process and all of our amazing Shortlisted and Finalist entrants are featured in the gallery pages on our website.
Our Finalists will also have the opportunity to see their work displayed in central London, in a free-to-enter, public exhibition in June 2024, giving your work high-profile exposure.
