Turn Up Your Radio: Celebrating Adelaide’s Music Scene is a not to be missed exhibition as part of Festival Centre’s 50th birthday festivities.
Be part of the Turn Up Your Radio exhibition by submitting your own band photo to be screened as part of the exhibition! Entries are now open for high-quality photographs taken of Adelaide bands and musicians over the last 50 years.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
1. Who can enter Participants must be SA residents and be 18 years of age or over to enter. Employees and Trust members of Adelaide Festival Centre Trust, their immediate families are ineligible to submit images. Each entrant may submit a maximum of 2 images for consideration.
2. How to enter and format of entry Entries open on 13th March 2023 and close on 13th April 2023 Maximum of 2 images submitted via the online Photo Submission Form must be in the following format: JPEG or PNG, minimum 300 dpi, 2480 x 3508 pixels At the time of submitting the digital images please fill out and sign the Photo Submission Form to confirm you have read and understood these terms and conditions. This is a compulsory requirement for entry.
3. Selection Process and Notification Process A selection process applies to the images that are featured in the exhibition. A Selection Panel appointed by Adelaide Festival Centre will select images for display in the Turn Up Your Radio exhibition from the images submitted with the applications. All decisions and actions of the Selection Panel are exercised at its absolute discretion and are final. No discussions or correspondence with entrants or any other person will be entered into. Submitting does not guarantee inclusion in the exhibition.
Turn Up Your Radio exhibition will on display at the Festival Centre from
2 June - 12 August 2023.
Adelaide has an international reputation for producing massive talents such as Sia, Cold Chisel, Paul Kelly, The Angels, Little River Band, The Superjesus and The Masters Apprentices who changed music history forever. Bop, shimmy, or mosh your way through the exhibition featuring original objects, costumes, photographs and posters from South Australia’s best-known bands, plus national and international artists who have performed at the Festival Theatre.
The live music montage captures memorable moments from Adelaide’s music scene over the past 50 years, with rock `n’ roll ephemera from South Australia’s best-known bands. See Sia’s breath, Silverchair’s silver chair, Doc Neeson’s iconic red tie, John Farnham’s jeans, plus collection of guitars and costumes from major artists.
