YOUR BEST SHOT:

In August 2012 NYC4PA launched its first international call for entry. These past ten years have been quite an adventure.   We have sponsored over 50 contests, awarded thousands of dollars in prizes, hosted a myriad of exhibitions and led a wonderful photography trip to Iceland/Greenland.

To honor this milestone, we are sponsoring a Tenth Anniversary, no theme, Call for Entry. It will include, in addition to our regular prizes, a live exhibition of the cash prize winning and juror’s selection images.  For this show the size of framed images will be limited to 11x14 (or 14x11).

The exhibition will be held in a gallery in New York City Hell’s Kitchen in October 2022.

Send us your best shots – as with all NYC4PA calls all 2D forms of photography are accepted.

EXHIBITION AND AWARDS:
There will be 10 cash prizewinners, 20 Juror Selections and 20 Honorable Mentions

GALLERY EXHIBITION:

All cash prize winners and Juror’s Selections will be invited to participate in a Small Works exhibition (Maximum framed size 14”on the longest side) to be held in Manhattan’s Hell’s Kitchen in October 2022.

CASH PRIZES:
Grand Prize: One photographer will receive $1,100.  The image will be featured on the home page of the NYC4PA website.

First Prize: 3 photographers will each receive $400.

Second Prize: 3 photographers will each receive $325.

Third Prize: 3 photographers will each receive $250

Fourth Prize: 3 photographers will each receive $125

ONLINE GALLERY, CATALOG and AWARD CERTIFICATE:

All prizewinners will be included in both the online gallery and catalog and be presented with a certificate

This Call for Entries is open worldwide to both amateur and professional photographers.  NYC4PA invites photographers working in all mediums, styles and schools of thought to participate. Experimental and mixed techniques are welcome. Only 2-D work is eligible.

 - IMAGES SELECTED FOR A PRIZE IN AN NYC4PA CALL FOR ENTRY WITHIN THE PAST TWO YEARS ARE NOT ELIGIBLE.  IF THEY ARE SUBMITTED AND SELECTED BY THE JUROR THEY WILL BE DISQUALIFIED. IMAGES PREVIOUSLY SUBMITTED THAT WERE NOT SELECTED FOR A PRIZE MAY BE RESUBMITTED AT ANY TIME.

 - WE USE A BLIND JURY PROCESS - NO SIGNATURES OR WATERMARKS ON YOUR IMAGES

TO ENTER:

The entry fee is $35 for the first three images. Additional images may be submitted for $10 each. There is no limit to the number of images submitted.

For payment and upload please go to: https://client.smarterentry.com/nyc4pa

Prepare your images as follows

        - JPG files are preferred with the longest side a minimum of 1,280 pixels. Smaller files are fine - you will see your uploaded image as soon as you submit it. If it is clear to you it will be fine for the juror.

        - Select unique image names so you can identify images when we send notification. Tea Glass1 Tea Glass 2 can be difficult

        - We prefer shorter names

        - Filenames with special characters may not load properly

        - If you are working in Photoshop, and are using the image size screen, the file size indicated at the top is the size before any compression applied in the save process. Please save the file as a JPG and then look at the file size.  It should be perfect.
