CLASS SPOTLIGHT ADVANCED DARKROOM

Don’t be so negative…the Advanced Darkroom class will positively develop your post production techniques brilliantly.

 Next term the CCP is offering an Advanced Darkroom subject which only comes around once a year due to what seems to be perceived esoteric content…THIS IS NOT THE CASE AT ALL – there is nothing esoteric about this course. It just requires a desire to develop your wet techniques to an intuitive level given the personal level of your vision and I’ll do the rest.

The Advanced Darkroom subject is VERY hands on and will have you lying on the darkroom floor to enlarge BIGGER pictures than you have ever imagined you’d be making – I know, this form of performance art will never have been more fun for you. You will learn about how developers work and how they are made. This knowledge gives you a deep dive into just what your images will behave like even before you’ve set up the darkroom.

Do your negatives need adjusting? Fear not, this course will have you minimising your analogue post production to realise the previsualisation of your art. You will have a menu of processes at your disposal available to you whenever working at the CCP for your future production.

To Beers or not to Beers? No, this does not involve the beverage, rather it will make you realise that there are many ways to adjust the minutia you wish to print. And of course you will also be flashing yourself around town with confidence like never before after this class!
